The Augusta Alumnae Chapter had an unforgettable and inspiring experience in Atlanta, GA, during the 50th Southern Regional Conference of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The atmosphere was electric as AAC members engaged in meaningful activities designed to strengthen bonds, elevate leadership, and advance the important work of Delta throughout the Southern Region and beyond.

This year’s conference held special significance as the Southern Region celebrated 100 years of sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action. From its historic beginnings with the Tuskegee Alumnae Chapter in 1926 to its growth into more than 200 chapters today, the Centennial Celebration honored a century of impact and the powerful legacy of Southern Region leadership.

As we reflected on this historic milestone, we were deeply honored to celebrate Dr. Louise A. Rice, 23rd National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her life’s work rooted in scholarship, leadership, and service continues to shape our region and our sisterhood. The Augusta Alumnae Chapter has been privileged to count Dr. Rice among its own. Her legacy as an ardent advocate, mentor, and leader has left an indelible mark on our chapter and the broader sisterhood. Her example reminds us of the enduring impact of excellence and service.

Witnessing the unity of the Southern Region during its Centennial year was a powerful reminder of the strength we share when we move forward together, grounded in legacy, committed to service and social action, and inspired by the leaders who paved the way.

This year’s Empty Pill Bottle Donation Drive reminded us how collective action fuels real impact in our community and beyond. Over 1,134 empty pill bottles were donated, collected, cleaned, and delivered to support the Matthew 25: Ministries project each one helping expand medical care access, reduce plastic waste, and uplift global sustainability efforts.

Your generosity strengthens the mission of Matthew 25: Ministries and highlights the power of partnership with the Aiken Alumnae and Thomson Alumnae Chapters.

Together we can continue to elevate our community and extend care far beyond our city, as we uphold Delta’s commitment to international awareness and meaningful service. ❤️✨

Serving with Compassion, Responding with Care.

The Emergency Response Committee of the Augusta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is committed to meeting the needs of our community especially during times of extreme weather.

To help protect our senior citizens from the intense summer heat, our committee proudly donated 36 fans to provide comfort, promote safety, and help combat the dangerous effects of rising temperatures. Every act of kindness makes a difference, and we are honored to support those who have given so much to our community.

Together, we continue to exemplify the values of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Social Action by responding to the needs of those we serve with compassion and purpose.

Because caring for our community never takes a season off.
