Augusta University College of Allied Health Sciences

Augusta University College of Allied Health Sciences We stay on the leading edge of national trends and advances in science, technology, and professionalism.

The College of Allied Health Sciences at Augusta University trains and educates today’s health care professionals: the therapists, technicians, administrators, managers and assistants who are the backbone of our country’s health care workforce. As the nation’s population ages and increasingly struggles with chronic disease and disability, as well as health care reform, our mission of educating pre

mier health care professionals has never been more vital. In just the last decade, we have expanded our graduate programs nearly 250 percent, bolstered our clinical mission, and multiplied our research initiatives threefold. Our students enjoy clinical opportunities across Georgia. We were an early proponent of interdisciplinary and distance education, and we continue to lead the way with our innovative programs.

Happy Friday, Jags! Before you head out for the Labor Day break, make note of an important schedule change!πŸ“…

With Labor Day fast approaching, please note an important change to the class schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 8. Because the fall 2026 semester begins and ends on a Tuesday, the academic calendar includes an extra Tuesday and fewer Mondays. To ensure all classes meet the required instructional time, the schedule has been adjusted.

On Sept. 8:
- Monday, Monday/Wednesday, and Monday/Wednesday/Friday classes will meet.
- Tuesday and Tuesday/Thursday classes will not meet.

Please plan accordingly and check your course schedule and D2L for any additional information from your instructors.

Normal class schedule will resume Wednesday, Sept. 9. This schedule does not apply to the MD and DMD courses, which follow a different academic calendar.
