CPR News recently highlighted the new Peak-to-Peak Pathway program, which fast-tracks students into in-state residency.

The program allows the CU Anschutz School of Medicine to respond to doctor shortages in specialties like pediatrics, family medicine, rural family medicine, internal medicine primary care, and internal medicine/infectious diseases.

Founding director Vik Bebarta, MD, talks about the origins of the CU Anschutz Combat Medicine Research Center, which was built to bridge the gap between civilian researchers and the military.

"The spirit of military medicine and veteran care has always been here. History has shaped the culture here. It’s a legacy of readiness and service. The throughline from Fitzsimons to the Combat Medicine Research Center is a focus on service, readiness, and impact," said Bebarta on the importance of being based on a campus with a rich history as a military medical center.

📣 New venue! 📣 Due to forecasted weather, the CU Anschutz School of Medicine Hooding and Oath Ceremony has moved indoors to the Anschutz Health Sciences Building Atrium on Monday, May 18, at 10:15 a.m.

Because of limited seating, attendance will be limited to 4 guests per graduate.

We will live stream the ceremony in the Elliman Conference Center for overflow guests.

Prior to the Hooding and Oath Ceremony, all MD graduates and their guests are invited to attend the campus commencement ceremony in the ED2 South Auditorium at 8:30 a.m.
