For over 4 years, the Mu Omega Omega Chapter has continued its commitment to meeting critical community needs through hands-on service and strategic partnerships. We are proud to support Aurora students through the CHIPP program and strengthen our communities by addressing child hunger, promoting positive youth development and leadership, and supporting mental health. CHIPP provides access to food to ensure the health, wellness, and academic success of youth. Our school partnership became something greater, a treasured community connection that has produced many memorable moments and experiences that deeply enriched our spirits. It fueled our continued commitment to community, to supporting families, and to ensuring students have the food and resources they need. We will be back at it tomorrow to close out the school year. Stay tuned for a recap post of our service in action.

Often, our minds race with everything we must do in a day. But you do not have to rush into the day to be productive… start with stillness. Before the emails, meetings, notifications, and responsibilities, give yourself five quiet minutes. Breathe deeply, stretch, journal, and sit in silence. Remember, a calm start can shape your entire day and protect your mental wellness.

May is .

Sisters, this is our gentle reminder to pause, check in, and pour back into you.

This year, we’re leaning into joy, not as something random, but something intentional. For us, joy is courage. It’s healing. It’s resistance. And it’s necessary.

Taking care of your mental and emotional well-being isn’t a luxury, it’s essential. So this month, let’s be intentional together:

💚Choose one thing that restores you
💚Set one boundary that protects your peace
💚Show one act of compassion, to yourself or someone else

When we prioritize our wellness, we don’t just thrive, we uplift our families, our communities, and each other.

Let’s SOAR in sisterhood and choose joy today, and every day.

Service that takes root. In celebration of Arbor Day last week, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® – Mu Omega Omega Chapter partnered with the City of Aurora to plant trees at Montview Park. With 26 members in action, we planted 21 trees and contributed to a greener community. This effort supports our international initiative to make a collective impact in enhancing and protecting our environment, one tree and one community at a time.

From scholarships to social policies, the work of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® never ends.

Under the theme “The Power of the Ivy: Advancing Justice and Equity Through Advocacy,” Mu Omega Omega Chapter joined fellow Colorado chapters and 19 middle and high school leaders at the Capitol for a powerful day focused on mental health and advocacy, empowering the next generation to use their voices for change. We were honored to have our Mid-Western Regional Director, Anika Wilson Starling, in attendance and to be recognized on both the Senate and House floors by Senate President James Coleman and Representative Dr. Regina English.

The power of the Ivy. The power of our voices. It was a day that reaffirmed the value of advocacy, the importance of representation, and the impact we can make together.

In partnership with the Ivy Community Fund, Incorporated, the Mu Omega Omega Chapter awarded college scholarships to six outstanding young women with limitless potential to pursue their higher education dreams. We wish them all the best as we honor excellence and empower the future.
