Future ophthalmologists in action 👁️✨

Last night’s Ophthalmology Interest Group Skills Workshop was all about hands-on learning and leveling up clinical skills. Students rolled up their sleeves to practice slit lamp exams, sharpen their neuro-ophthalmology exam techniques, and master the art of checking intraocular pressure.

It’s always inspiring to see this level of curiosity, focus, and enthusiasm for patient care—these are the moments that build confident, skilled clinicians.

Kicking off our inaugural Legends in Ophthalmology event with an incredible lecture by Dr. Neil Miller on Ischemic Optic Neuropathies: Classification, Diagnosis & Treatment.

Faculty, residents, and guests gained invaluable insights from one of the true legends in the field. And in true Austin fashion, attendees bravely navigated SXSW traffic to make it there — proof that great learning is worth the journey. 🚗🎶
