Phi Delta Theta-Texas Beta is proud to congratulate one of our very own in his election as Student Body President of the University of Texas! Brother Colton Becker (Bond #1931) boasts Student Government experience, community involvement, and a long track record of working for Longhorns to enhance student life here at the Forty Acres. We wish Colton all the best in his term and are confident that he will bring a wealth of talent to our student government.

Colton has embodied a spirit of leadership and service within our chapter, and we are excited that he will do the same for the rest of our campus. We are incredibly proud of the work that he has done for us both in Phi Delt and as IFC's Vice President of Philanthropy and a VP for Not on My Campus. We are confident that Colton will continue to make Texas Beta’s impact felt on the Forty Acres.

Colton and his running mate for Student Body VP, Mehraz Rahman, won with the largest number of votes in UT Student Government history after a hard fought campaign. Their platform included preventing interpersonal violence, creating reflection spaces on campus, and improving our student life.

The brothers of Texas Beta are grieving today for a member of the UT community, Harrison Brown. While Harrison chose to never formally be initiated into Phi Delta Theta, he was a Phikeia of our chapter last fall. Our members considered him a brother. Texas Beta sends its prayers and support to the Brown family.
