🎉 Congratulations to Kelly Reveles, Pharm.D., Ph.D., BCPS, BCIDP, Associate Professor of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Sciences at Texas Pharmacy, on her induction as a Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy - ACCP!

This prestigious distinction recognizes individuals who have demonstrated excellence in clinical pharmacy practice and research, along with sustained contributions to advancing the profession.

📣 Call for Papers!

Texas Pharmacy's Rebecca Moote, Pharm.D., BCPS, FNAP, is serving as managing editor for an upcoming special issue of the Journal of Interprofessional Education & Practice focused on "Interprofessional Approaches to Medication Management & Deprescribing."

Researchers, educators and health care professionals are invited to contribute scholarship exploring how interprofessional collaboration can improve medication management, patient safety and quality of care.

Submissions are welcome across a range of topics, including polypharmacy, transitions of care, deprescribing and interprofessional education. Commentaries, case reports, research articles, reviews and more are encouraged!

Many life-saving biologics rely on ultra-cold storage and transport. But keeping those cells viable until they reach the patient requires ultra-cold storage at temperatures as low as -196 °C (-320 °F) and transporting these materials is expensive, unwieldy and vulnerable to delays and equipment failure.

Thin-film freeze-drying (TFFD)—invented and developed on The University of Texas at Austin campus—could help make cold-chain dependence a thing of the past.
