American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) - UT Austin Student Chapter

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) - UT Austin Student Chapter Since 1921, ASCE has been a perfect complement to an integral part of the educational experience and career preparation for CAEE students.

Since 1921, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) at the University of Texas has been a perfect complement to an integral part of the educational experience and has also aided in career preparation for civil, architectural and environmental engineering (CAEE) students here at the university. ASCE student members have a greater understanding of their career interests and opportunities by t

he counsel they receive at our biweekly chapter meetings from industry professionals. Members that get involved gain technical experience from events such as the Steel Bridge and Concrete Canoe Competitions. They gain leadership experience through responsibilities within the society. They create a closer camaraderie to their peers, establishing lifelong professional and personal friendships. Many members take the opportunity to serve and volunteer for the community through countless charities and events that UT ASCE provides.
