Legacy Spotlight | Marjorie R. Lindsey ✨

Marjorie Lindsey was a longtime supporter of Bakersfield College. Along with her husband, Bud, she believed in supporting education and creating opportunities for future generations.

Marge was especially passionate about the Bakersfield College Archives, supporting its work to preserve and share BC’s history. Her generosity also continues through student scholarships, helping BC students pursue their educational goals.

August is Make-A-Will Month. ❤️

Throughout the month, we're highlighting the lasting impact of planned giving through the stories of those who have chosen to leave a legacy at Bakersfield College.

Our first Legacy Spotlight honors Dr. Norman Levan, whose generosity resulted in the largest gift in Bakersfield College history. His more than $20 million gift continues to change lives by providing more than half a million dollars in scholarships each year and supporting programs in the humanities, medicine, and lifelong learning for our community.
