Greetings from the Center for Career Education and Community Engagement (CECE),
We hope that you have had a great start to the new academic year. As we begin the fall semester, we would like to share several upcoming events and career resources available to CSUB students.
Fall Career Fairs
• Fall Volunteer Fair
Wednesday, September 9 | 11am – 1pm | Runner Market Quad
• Fall Career Expo
Thursday, October 8 | 11am – 3pm| SRC-GYM
• Graduate & Professional School Fair
Thursday, November 5 | 1pm – 3pm| SRC-GYM
JCPenney Suit Up Event
• Friday, October 2 | 4pm-7pm | JCPenney at Valley Plaza Mall
• Open to CSUB students, alumni, staff, faculty – plus friends and family!
Career Counselor Appointments and Walk-Ins
• Students may schedule individual appointments to meet with a CECE Career Counselor through Handshake.
• Walk-in hours begin Wednesday, September 2, and will be available two days per week on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointment necessary. Please see the attached schedule.
CECE Video-on-Demand (VOD) Workshops
• Students may access recorded workshops on a variety of career development topics 24/7 on our YouTube channel or webpage. Please see the attached flyer.
Classroom Presentations:
• If you would like to request a CECE classroom presentation on our services and resources, resume development, interviewing, or other career development topics, please complete our Presentation Request Form.
CECE Location
• CECE is located in Entwood (Housing West). Watch our Instagram video for directions to our office.
I’ve attached our Fall Events, Walk-in Schedule, and CECE VOD Workshop flyers in both PDF and JPG formats. We will send individual updates as each event approaches. Students will receive information about these opportunities through Handshake, email, and CECE social media. However, any assistance you can provide in encouraging students to take advantage of these opportunities to enhance their career readiness is greatly appreciated.
