Partnership Showcase Description 4: Towson University, Owings Mills Elementary, Woodbridge Elementary and Perry Hall High School.
Owings Mills ES—TU interns engaged in powerful conversations with the PDS liaison and site coordinator at Owings Mills ES as part of an equity book study. Interns read “Stamped Racism, Antiracism, and You” and discussed sections from the book using the Agreements, Conditions, and Compass from Courageous Conversations.
Woodbridge ES— The staff at Woodbridge ES were “all hands on deck” for our new COE TUtors initiative! Woodbridge staff jumped right in to connect their families with our COE TUtors initiative for our teaching candidates in field experiences.
Perry Hall HS— The PDS liaison held a speaker series with the principal, two assistant principals, and site coordinator at Perry Hall HS for secondary education teaching candidates in their field experience course. This unique opportunity allowed our teaching candidates to be involved with the PDS prior to their professional year and learn the culture of the school early in their program.
