Leadership Engagement & Experiential Development (L.E.E.D) is an office of professional and student staff that works toward seeing every Johns Hopkins University student gets the most out of their time on the Homewood Campus. We believe that as students become more meaningfully involved in campus life they develop skills that are complementary to what is learned in the classroom and begin preparin
g for successful lives after college. As partners in President Daniel’s goal of making Hopkins’ undergraduate experience one of the best in the nation, we provide guidance and support to our 300+ student organizations, design and facilitate transformative leadership development opportunities, manage and seek to continuously improve our union spaces, and partner with the entire Hopkins Community in the continuation of our campus’ most cherished events and traditions. At Hopkins we believe that leadership is a process in which everyone has the capacity to participate. Leadership Engagement & Experiential Development is committed to providing a variety of experiences that teach students the language and skills of leadership, including a variety of cohort experiences, individual and group workshops, and campus-wide conferences. Through these opportunities, students learn how to promote self-awareness, collaboration, and engaged citizenship within their organizations and the community at-large.
