Fellow voters, it is time...We have the GoogleForm for TheatreCOM board elections up now! It will be up until April 30th.

Fun facts to remember:
You do have the option to edit your response as long as it's within the next week.
You will need to vote from your UMBC account.
For each position, you can choose "ABSTAIN" if you feel that none of the candidates would be successful board members.
The blurbs for each person running are in the poll.
If no one wins at least 50.1% of the vote, or two people tie, we will have a runoff poll.
Each position's duties are listed again below for your convenience (as well as in the poll itself).
Quick note: Myself and Chloe Scully will be acting as the election board for this year. If anyone has reasonable evidence of election tampering/interference, it should be sent directly to us!

Happy voting everyone!

Anyone who wishes to run for the 2018-2019 TheatreCOM board should email [email protected] before 11 A.M. today and send in a blurb about why they should be whichever position they are running for. They should also attend the meeting so they can make their case to the club members.

Vice President: Oversees internal affairs, communicates with club members involved in productions to ensure that they are going smoothly, and assumes the role of President when they are absent.
Treasurer: Manages the club's money and bank account, requests funds from SGA, and reimburses club members for purchases.
Secretary: Sends emails to club with general updates, takes notes at meetings, manages the club's list serve, archives information, and helps the Publicity Manager promote events.
Public Relations: Makes posters/banners/flyers etc. to promote our events, manages the club's Facebook group, and helps Secretary in keeping cub members informed about events via social media.
Technical Director: Communicates with other UMBC clubs and staff to select appropriate build and performance spaces and dates, runs production meetings, oversees tech, helps coordinate any technical needs for shows, and is the representative of Theatre Technicians to the board.

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Hi everyone! So the weather has changed from freezing to pleasant to sweltering and back to cold and raining! If you are like us and hate walking anywhere in the rain, you'll be happy to know that we are not having a meeting tomorrow.
HOWEVER - we do have elections coming up soon. Any candidates who wish to run should send in a blurb to [email protected] by 11 a.m. of April 23rd. We will have a meeting then to discuss their platforms and such, like an actual adult election, and then will vote. We will have results by May 5th at the latest.
If you have any questions about the positions, please feel free to contact us.

Hello fellow theatre lovers! We hit a little snag, had a few logistical errors, and it turns out New Playwrights Festival is actually performing 2-4 p.m. on Sunday instead of the original time of 8-10 p.m. We are so sorry for any confusion/hassles this causes. We have changed the times on the events, so if you look at any Facebook posts/events for NPF, they are correct.
Again, we are so sorry!
