NOW SEEKING ACTORS, MUSICIANS, TECH CREW for our Fall production!

THE MYSTERY CYCLE:
A Medieval Mobtown Mashup
Adapted and Directed by Gavin Witt
Performances: Nov 13-15, 2026
Copeland Studio Theater

Imagine if God were a builder, Lucifer had mad rizz, the Ark got built in Dundalk—and the whole thing got some boogie. The Mystery Cycle is a contemporary and only slightly irreverent take on the traditional Medieval Mystery Plays, seasoned with plenty of Charm City flavor.

Beloved Bible stories spring to vivid life in this production, as ordinary working folks transform the space around you, complete with local character, music, dancing, and whatever’s handy. From Abel to Shepherds and from Cain to Kings, this sweeping saga takes in high and low, great and small, twists and turns, in a feast for your imagination. Here are couples with issues, like Adam and Eve, Mary and Joseph, Noah and the missus. Here are dutiful dads, like Abraham, and utterly unsavory ones, like Herod, doting on their kids in drastically different ways. Here are angels who sing, demons who scheme, and a silver-tongued tempter whose charisma is as dangerous as it is dazzling.

Inspired by a theatrical tradition that endured for centuries, The Mystery Cycle is hilarious and heartfelt and infuses age-old stories with vibrant humor, humanity, and plenty of alliterative verse! Bethlehem’s getting a Baltimore accent, hon!

AUDITIONS will be held:
Tuesday, September 8, 6-9 p.m.
Thursday, September 10, 6-9 p.m.
Location: Copeland Studio Theater (Top Floor LeClerc Hall)

Sign up for a 15-minute slot at QR or link in bio. More info about roles and rehearsals at link.

If you are interested to work behind the scenes, please still sign up for a slot and we will chat about your interests at the audition.

Looking for a Soring course? Sign up for DRM-240 Acting Techniques (T/TH 9:25am-10:40am). DRM-240 meets Fine Arts/Artistic Expression and is an acting class for all levels and majors. We’re delighted to welcome back Kimberley Lynne, Artistic Director Emeritus of Fells Point Corner Theatre, who will be teaching the course.

Through supportive skill-building and low-stakes performance projects, both individually and in groups, students practice collaboration, active listening, clear communication, flexibility, and confident self-expression.

Kimberley Lynne is a theatrical professional with a range of experience from playwright to producer to actor. Lynne has been acting onstage since she was twelve; her favorite roles include: Martha in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?; Lady Macbeth in Macbeth; Helen in Baby with the Bathwater; Mrs. Gibbs in Our Town; Mrs. Smith in The Bald Soprano; and Lillian in I Hate Hamlet. Lynne was vocally trained by Kristin Linklater and took acting classes with local teacher, Donald Hicken. Lynne taught acting at the University of Baltimore and has directed locally at Fells Point Corner Theatre (where she serves as artistic director emeritus), including Dead Man’s Cellphone and On the Verge.
