The University of Maryland, Graduate School is hiring a nonpaid Marketing and Recruitment Intern to assist with day-to-day operations and social media efforts. The intern must be a current junior, senior or graduate student in search of an internship to fulfill college credit. The ideal candidate will be available for 10-15 hours Monday – Friday between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Responsibilities associated with this position is listed below:
Schedule and assist with virtual open houses, as well as creating recorded information sessions for each entrepreneurial program.
Create a database of potential pipeline opportunities, composed of professional and student organizations whose members would benefit enrolling in entrepreneurial programs
Create and maintain database of student stories and headshots used for marketing purposes
Social media engagement:
Content creation around monthly health awareness issues, and other issues relevant to graduate students (study practices, job opportunities, mental health, student events, etc.)
Covering university and student life events on campus (graduation ceremonies, orientation, wellness fairs, etc., welcome events)
Coming up with innovative ways to engage our current student body and increase following of prospective students
Assist with auditing CRM messaging, and inconsistencies in application process/instructions
Assist in creation and distribution of alumni survey, and pre-post surveys used to assess student experience and career projection
Interpret data
Compile, and update list of all alumni dating back to 2016
Distribute at conclusion of each semester
Attend on campus recruiting events
Assist with compiling a list of scholarships and grants relevant to nontraditional graduate students
Help identify affordable and relevant Graduate School giveaways
Other duties as assigned

Note 1: The student would either report to a space called “the Grid,” located in BioPark at 875 Hollins St., or at our administrative building located at 620 W. Lexington St.
