Johns Hopkins University recently celebrated the ceremonial groundbreaking for a new residence hall and dining commons on the Homewood campus—the first project of its kind at Homewood in more than 40 years, built on an idea that was 120 years in the making.

Johns Hopkins University ranks No. 9 among national universities, according to the latest list of the nation's best colleges for undergraduates published by U.S. News and World Report.

Hopkins has been included among the nation's top 10 universities each year since 2019 and has been among the top 20 in all but one year since U.S. News launched its rankings in the 1980s.
