Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Texas finally learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. At UMB, we are guided by our core values of Equity and Justice, Respect and Integrity, Well-Being and Sustainability, and Innovation and Discovery.

The UMB Talent Recruitment team had a fantastic time presenting to students at the Summer U Camp hosted by URecFit and Wellness! We shared tips on resume writing, interviewing skills, and workplace professionalism to help prepare the next generation for future academic and career success.

What made this year's session especially rewarding was the incredible engagement from the students. They came prepared with thoughtful questions, participated in discussions, and demonstrated genuine curiosity about career readiness and professional growth. Their enthusiasm made for an interactive and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
This has become one of our favorite annual traditions, and each year the experience gets even better. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with such bright young minds and share the knowledge and expertise of our team.

Thank you to the Summer U program and URecFit and Wellness for welcoming us once again. We are already looking forward to returning next year to share even more career tips, insights, and advice with future leaders.
