Congratulations to Erik Westlund on his promotion to Associate Scientist!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ We are thrilled to have this recognition of all of Erik's contributions, which combine strong statistical foundations, data science, and computing expertise.

He has supported an incredibly broad portfolio of projects across the Schools of Public Health, Medicine, and Nursing, including EHR-based and ophthalmologic research, gender equity study design, tools for studying structural racism and inequality, genetics and genomics pipelines, international health data preparation and simulation studies, and analysis of public opinion survey data on vaccines!

In the past 2 years he has also created 5 data and code repositories on topics ranging from the Flint water crisis to HIV/AIDS (NA-ACCORD) to structural inequality and discrimination.
