Morgan State University has unveiled a smartphone-controlled, autonomous wheelchair designed to enhance mobility and accessibility for individuals with disabilities.

Powered by AI and LIDAR, the wheelchair was successfully demonstrated at BWI Airport and can navigate public spaces independently.

Developed by Morgan researchers and students, the innovation aims to increase independence and inclusivity, with plans for expanded features and broader implementation.
