Our "Your Story Belongs Here" Cohort has been hard at work crafting their stories! The summer fellowship has included mornings of study around social justice and identity with Dr. Ciara Christian, and afternoons developing story and performance skills with Professor Eve Muson.

Please join us on Tuesday, June 30th at 2pm in the AOK Library Gallery for an afternoon of stories of finding belonging at UMBC! It's free, and we will have pizza!

Your Story Belongs Here is an award-winning collaboration between the Center for Social Justice Dialogue ( ) and the Department of Theatre ( ) where UMBC students learn how to share—and celebrate—their own stories of belonging.

Doll Parts… is a one-[trans]-woman show about memory, becoming, and transitioning gender in later life. Taking place in the present, even in its recollection of events of the past, Doll Parts… follows Nikki as she discovers her true self in the midst of hormone-therapy-induced puberty, dating, menopause, and surgically transitioning her gender in her 60s. Balanced with humor, a touch of the Divine, and an overwhelming joie de vivré, Doll Parts… looks at living an authentic life even if it has to be as a sacred act of rebellion!
