Federal immigration policy needs to put the concerns of Americans First. State immigration policy needs to put the concerns of Mainers first. Sadly this isn’t the case right now because our politicians are more concerned with being politically correct than addressing key problems caused by the border crisis and mass immigration.

While Mainers are struggling with low wages, rising crime in our cities, and inability to fund our own programs, state and federal politicians seem more concerned about maintaining a mass influx of cheap labor voters who will back the status quo.

The Bangor GOP is saying enough is enough. As a result we are releasing a basic blueprint of policies that federal and state candidates should support in order to ensure we put Mainers first.

Candidates running for federal office need to support the following polices

-Keeping title 42 in place. Right now title 42 is one of the few polices that is preventing a massive surge of illegal immigration into the United States. Candidates running for Congress must pledge to speak up and support it remaining in place.

-Defend the Remain in Mexico policy for asylum applicants. Statistics show that 71% of asylum claims will be rejected. What sense does it make to let individuals in before their claims are processed? Many who come illegally or in this case on fraudulent asylum claims will not self deport. That in turn would put an even larger strain on US law enforcement and local communities. Processing claims before individuals are let in is the only way we can put Americans first.

-Reduce the amount of low skilled and skilled visas during periods of slow wage growth and economic termoil. The pandemic has hurt thousands across our state. We need to rebuild an economy for the American worker before we even consider approving more work visas.

-Defund sanctuary cities that refuse to comply with federal immigration laws. We cannot allow politicians to undermine the rule of law at the expense of American citizens.

-End immigration loopholes such as chain migration in order to maintain better control over the border crisis.

-Increase funding to the border patrol and finish the wall to ensure we have an effective system of border security.

Candidates running for state office need to support the following:

-Defund any Maine municipalities who decide to declare themselves as a sanctuary cities. Stifling federal and state statue undermines the rule of law and it makes Mainers less safe.

-Pass e-verify into law. Employers who decide to hire foreign nationals for cheap labor are not working in the best interests of Maine citizens. An E-verify system would prevent corrupt firms from exploiting the border crisis for profit.

-End any state involvement in the federal refugee resettlement program. Our state has already been overwhelmed by Portland’s irresponsible settlement policies. Enough is enough.

Mainers and Americans are tired of being left behind due to citizens last immigration policies. The time has come to finally change course and put our citizens first.

It’s quite humorous that the media ignores some of the terrible people Obama pardoned such as violent criminals, terrorists, and traitors but when trump pardons 2 American soldiers who were accused of “war crimes” because of situations of self defense. The media is a complete joke for their hypocrisy.

Last week, President Trump granted full pardons for Army First Lt. Clint Lorance and Army Maj. Mathew Golsteyn, who’d been accused of war crimes. Lorance had served six years of a 19-year sentence, and Golsteyn was facing trial for killing an alleged Taliban bombmaker. Navy SEAL Edward R. Gallagh....

18 years ago our nation was attacked in manner we have never seen before. 3000 American lives were lost on that day. Husson College Republicans will never forget these Americans as well as the hundreds of brave first responders who showed countless acts of bravery on such a horrific day. America has shown the world that we will bounce back no matter the cost or sacrifice. We love this country and will never forget the bravery and sacrifice that brought us to where we are today.

Two new rules for Joe Biden, 1. You don’t get to get to call yourself pro-science when you cannot accept basic biology. 2. Don’t call President Trump Unhinged when you feel the need to grab someone’s arm for asking you a question you didn’t like.

Former Vice President Joe Biden said there were "at least three" genders while walking through a crowd at the Iowa State Fair on Thursday.

Our group believes in the importance that the American citizen has the right to keep and bear arms and that this right shall not be infringed. Republicans need to stand up for the second amendment no matter who is in charge. The same staunch opposition to the last administration’s gun control proposals needs to exist during this one as well. We will not cave nor will we support giving up 1 inch of our 2nd amendment rights. Once government takes away liberty, it will never give it back.

Capitalism empowers individuals to work the jobs they wish to work while giving them the opportunity to feed themselves and their families. Many of those who claim capitalism is oppressive do not know what real oppression is or simply do not want to work and be productive.

“Our nation is on an unsustainable economic path especially when the government’s present and future obligations are mandated by law”. If nothing is done to reform social security, Medicare and Medicaid, our country is due for a huge crash.

Tick, tick, tick goes the time bomb of national doom. Every second the ticking grows louder, but you won’t hear the muffled sound that’s more akin to white noise. Across all media...

The law is the law. If someone enters the country illegally, they committed a crime. The reasoning behind this illegal action does not change the fact that it is illegal. Decriminalizing illegal immigration is no different than decriminalizing armed robbery or any other type of crime.

Interesting how those who call themselves "Pro-Choice" seem to be anti-choice on every issue except for abortion. For example, liberals seemed to be found of dictating where your money should go, where you send your kids to school and what healthcare you should get. The whole "Pro-Choice" label is one of the biggest fallacies of our lifetime.

The Husson College Republicans will fight to preserve the history of our great nation. Centuries ago, Betsy Ross designed a flag that would later evolve into the modern day American flag. This flag was carried by the continental army as they fought for our independence. The history represented by this flag is important for future generations to remember. If anyone is offended by our flag our club says too bad.

Husson College Republicans are deeply saddened about the news of the passing of President George H.W Bush. George H.W. Bush was an honorable man who served this country with wisdom, empathy, and gratitude. From his service in World War 2 to his time as president, George H.W. Bush will go down in history as a great role model for many Americans to come. The state of Maine will also remember the positive impact he made on our state as a whole. RIP President Bush.

In her lifetime of "public service” Janet Mills:

Voted to tax Milk
Supported a tax on nursing homes
Supported a 4% tax on HEALTH INSURANCE claims. (God forbid anyone gets sick or injured.)
Supported Criminals over Police by allowing individuals to sue officers for mistakes made during the line of duty.
Proposed a tax on miles driven by Mainers.
Supports banning specific types of guns. (Maybe she’ll let you keep your shotgun)
Funded by George Soros and Donald Sussman
Voted for John Bladacci's failed healthcare scheme
Obstructed Governor LePage whenever she could
Open to the idea of “Safe Injection Zones”. (Supports Drug Addicts Shooting up under supervision)

And now she wants to be Maine’s next Governor. Maine needs a real governor to keep it going in the right direction. Not a liberal activist with a track record full of failures.
