Meet our own! Professor Belisle!!!

Lees-McRae is fortunate to have so many faculty who are passionate about making higher education a more welcoming place for all students. Kristin Belisle, one of our newest faculty in the Nursing program, is currently working on a doctoral thesis that examines the high attrition rates for Black males attending college. Her findings will help higher education institutions, including Lees-McRae, better serve populations that have historically received less support.

Commencement Update:
Due to the weather forecast, the location for the Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 7 has been changed to Williams Gymnasium at the Athletic Complex.
Please remember that guests will be limited to four (4) per graduate in order to stay in compliance with the occupancy limit for Williams Gymnasium. Graduates will receive wristbands for guests during rehearsal on Friday. A live feed of the ceremony will be streamed for additional guests in Evans Auditorium.

The Nursing Award (online) is presented to a senior RN to BSN nursing student who exemplifies the values of promoting excellence and professionalism in nursing care. This student is prepared to be a critical, creative, and collaborative leader and decision-maker in diverse healthcare environments. Upon graduation, they will be eligible to pursue graduate level education and leadership positions within the profession.
