🌳Caring for Our Campus, Preserving Its Beauty💙

You may have noticed some changes to the landscape around Gordon State College!

As part of our ongoing commitment to campus safety and responsible landscape management, GSC has undertaken tree maintenance and removal efforts in select areas, including near Lambdin Hall and the amphitheater.

These improvements address concerns related to tree health and structural integrity while helping maintain a safe, welcoming and beautiful environment for our Highlander community.

🌱 And we're looking ahead! Plans include planting new trees to support the continued beauty and vitality of our campus.

💙 From medical school to nursing, one Highlander found her calling at GSC!

Meet Alyssa Smith, a Gordon State College nursing student from Forsyth, Georgia, whose passion for patient care led her down an unexpected but rewarding path.

From hands-on simulation labs and clinical rotations to a nurse externship on a cardiovascular step-down unit, Alyssa is gaining the experience and connections to turn her passion into a career.

And she's part of a growing success story. With an 11% increase in nursing enrollment and a reported 100% job placement rate across its nursing programs, GSC continues to prepare future healthcare professionals to serve communities throughout Georgia.

We're proud of Alyssa and the future she's building as a Highlander!
