UAMS North Central will be able to help patients better manage their diabetes and chronic health conditions as part of a five-year, $1.5 million grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration. UAMS' Institute for Community Health Innovation secured the grant, which will benefit patients at UAMS North Central and UAMS South in El Dorado by integrating telehealth nutrition services and remote patient monitoring.

The recent Primary Care Residency Fair in North Little Rock brought medical students from across the state. Residents and faculty with UAMS North Central were on hand to teach suturing skills and answer questions from medical students about Batesville's residency program. Patrick Sullins, M.D., also spoke on the unwritten rules of residency.
