On Friday, August 14th, we welcomed 34 new SEAS Scholars with an average GPA above 3.8 and an average ACT score of 27. I believe that once you see what is happening, hear directly from our scholars, and understand the impact, you’ll be convinced to support the effort. Tomorrow, you will hear directly from a SEAS Scholar. But today, I'll share coverage of Friday's event by WBRZ.

BATON ROUGE — Southern University's Engineering Alumni Society held a pinning ceremony to welcome 34 students entering the Engineering Scholars Program this fall.
