Assistant Professor John Chua in the LSU College of Music & Dramatic Arts used AI to create a two-minute anime-style short based on a Japanese urban legend. His film, “Do You Think I Am Beautiful,” was selected to screen at Los Angeles Tech Week’s Neu Wave AI Fest on October 14 as one of 15 featured films among 750 submissions (and took some 45 hours to make).

Meet the cast of POTUS—an uproarious comedy opening this Friday in the Shaver Theatre. (Pay-What-You-Can Preview Performance on Thursday)

1. Priya Hildebrand (Bernadette, His Sister) is a junior Theatre (performance) major. Previous credits include LSU Mainstage show The Courtship of Winifred Edwards, Swine Palace’s People, Places & Things, LSU Lab Shows Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom and Two Sisters and A Piano, and Geaux Films Sink or Swim and Tick. Other credits include Pipeline, The Ash Girl, and Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind.

2. Layla Brown-Collado (Chris, A Journalist) is a senior Theatre (performance) major. Previous credits include LSU Mainstage’s Roleplay and The Courtship of Winifred Edwards.

3. Ashari Harper (Margaret, His Wife. The First Lady) is a senior Theatre (performance) and Communication Studies double major and Music minor. Previous credits include LSU Theatre Mainstage’s The Play That Goes Wrong and LSU Lab Season’s The R & J Project. She also performed in Sullivan Theatre’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame and LSU Musical Theatre Club’s Little Shop of Horrors. She is also a recording artist (Shari Brooke).

Meet the cast of POTUS—an uproarious comedy opening this Friday in the Shaver Theatre!

✨Four of the Seven✨
1. Liberti Jackson (Harriet, His Chief of Staff) is a senior Kinesiology Major with a concentration in Physical Activity and Health. Previous credits include LSU Physical Theater performance and Hopkins Black Box production of Rollerland. This is her first LSU Theater Mainstage show. She is also a part of Musical Theater Club and Kinesiology Club.

2. Madison Dumas (Jean, His Press Secretary) is a senior Theatre (performance) major and Animal Science (and technology) major. Past credits include LSU Theatre’s Roleplay and Roe, as well as The Hopkins Black Box’s Purple Brick Road to Wondaland and Yearning. She also enjoys participating in aerial silks and volunteering at The Inner Pup.

3. Abigail Anderson (Stephanie, His Secretary) is a junior Mass Communications major and Theater minor. Previous credits include LSU Class Film’s Trail of Broken Hearts and Don’t Wait for the Rain to Clear (Production Assistant). Tiger Grant Film and Take 11 Winner Fever (Grip). LSU Filmmaker Club Baja Beast (Writer and Abigail) and On Betting (Costumes). She is also a member of LSU Improv.

4. Sydney Fuqua (Dusty, His Dalliance) is a senior Theatre (performance) major. She is so excited to make her LSU debut in POTUS! Past credits include: The Best Little Wh******se in Texas, Beauty and the Beast, Frankenstein, Annie, Miracle on 34th Street, and Romeo and Juliet.
