College of Business at Southern University and A & M College We are part of the Southern University System, which is the only Historically Black College and University (HBCU) system in the United States.

The College of Business (COB) was established in 1937 and is an accredited academic unit within the Southern University and A & M College located on the Baton Rouge campus. The accrediting body, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business-International (AACSB International), granted the unit this status in 1998. The College of Business currently offers undergraduate degrees in Accoun

ting, Economics, Finance, Management, and Marketing. The undergraduate degree program in Economics is being phased out as approved by the Board of Regents and will accept no new majors as of Fall 2011. A Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with electives in Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain Management, and International Business was approved by the Louisiana Board of Regents on December 7, 2005 and Implemented in the Fall 2006. Our advantage is that we have a dedicated faculty that is entrepreneurial in discovering opportunities to obtain the resources to generate a quality outcome for the market we serve.

A Southern University alumna and Regional Supplier Quality Manager at Boeing Defense, Space & Security, Kia leads a team of engineers supporting over 200 global suppliers contributing to the production of military aircraft, satellites, and space vehicles.

Her career spans Boeing, Eaton Aerospace, Raytheon, and NASA Ames, with over $60M in impact across major programs like the CST-Starliner, WGS, F15, and F18.
