GEST 2026 was a wonderful SUCCESS! We had over 40 local middle schoolers out to learn and get hands on in the STEM world. Mark your calendars for April 17th! Keep your eyes peeled for GEST 2027 registration.

“Programs like GEST are important because many students in our region don’t often have access to hands-on science experiences or opportunities to meet people working in STEM,” said Brittney Mitchell, GEST President and PhD Candidate at the Duke University Marine Laboratory. “Representation and access matter. When students are welcomed into spaces where they can explore, ask questions, and see people who look like them in these roles, it can completely change how they see their own potential.”
