🍿 SUPPORT OUR VETERANS 🍿

For years, Pro Action Dance Camp has been a valued tradition within our program and one of the most impactful opportunities our veteran dancers can experience.

At Pro Action, dancers learn from current and former NFL, NBA, and MLB dancers, choreographers, and industry professionals while developing leadership skills, expanding their networks, and gaining insight into opportunities beyond the collegiate level. They also learn choreography, gameday material, and performance concepts that help prepare our team for football and basketball season halftime performances throughout the year.

The knowledge, inspiration, and training they bring back directly impacts our program and helps us continue to grow as performers, leaders, and ambassadors for Lamar University.

We are raising funds to help make this experience possible for our veteran members, including two seniors who may be attending their first & final Pro Action camp and several newer veterans excited to grow as artists and leaders.

📣Lamar University Sets Dance Team📣

Lamar University has unveiled its 2026–2027 Dance Team roster, highlighted by a strong leadership group and a talented mix of returning performers and new faces.

Shanya Gordon will serve as captain, with Mya Griffith and Tori Roberts named co-captains. Avery Fields takes on the role of team president, while Maddison Smith is the spirit leader, and Jayla Clay will mentor the rookies.

Head coach Dézja Kelly, alongside assistant coach Amiyah Beverly, will lead the Cardinals into the upcoming season.

The Cardinals’ dance team continues to build a dynamic and competitive program heading into 2026–2027.
