We're excited to share that Mohamed Irhabi, a Lamar Biology Senior, has been awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. This is a nationally competitive program funded by the U.S. Department of State that supports undergraduate students in studying or interning abroad, with a focus on expanding access to global education.

Through this opportunity, he will be completing a humanitarian health (medical) fellowship in Berlin, Germany. He will be involved in community health outreach, supporting medical programs, and working with underserved and displaced populations.

We're super happy and excited for Mohamed's success with this opportunity and wish him nothing but the best in his journey. Congratulations Mohamed!!!

Big round of applause for Dr. Christensen for being an amazing professor to so many biology students. Sadly, her journey with the Biology Department is coming to an end as she is getting closer to retirement. What a bittersweet moment to see one of our professors go (we still have her for a couple months; she can't get rid of us that fast). We wish her nothing but the best and lots of well-deserved rest. Congratulations Dr. C, we're going to miss you!!
