Our College of Business students had the opportunity to meet Dean John and Associate Deans Sargsyan and Bandyopadhyay during our Snack, Chat & Meet the Deans event.

Students introduced themselves, pulled questions from a basket to spark conversation, enjoyed light refreshments, and participated in our "What's Your Major?" activity by placing stickers under their designated major.

College of Business celebrates launch of DBA in Energy Management program

This weekend, the Lamar University College of Business officially launched its new DBA in Energy Management.

Our inaugural cohort of 13 doctoral students recently completed their first summer course and gathered to learn more about the program, meet faculty members, and explore the journey ahead.

A special highlight of the event was hearing from three students who presented research papers developed during their first course, showcasing the innovative thinking and industry-focused research already taking shape within the program.

Congratulations to our first DBA in Energy Management class. We can't wait to see the impact you'll make on the energy industry and beyond!

🎉 Please Join Us in Welcoming Our New Senior Advisor! 🎉

The College of Business is thrilled to welcome one of our own back to the college as our newest Senior Advisor.

A proud COB alumnus, he returns with valuable higher education experience gained through his work in the Undergraduate Advising Center and the College of Engineering. His dedication to student success began during his time as a College of Business student, where he served in leadership roles with the American Marketing Association (AMA), Association for Information Systems (AIS), and Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity.

As a Gates Millennium Scholar and Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar, he has continued to support educational access and student achievement through his involvement with organizations including ALPFA, SACNAS, the Lamar University Industrial Engineering Advisory Council, and the Scholars Equity Network.

We are excited to have him back and look forward to the positive impact he will make on our students and community. Please join us in welcoming him to his new role!
