We're honored to receive a proclamation from the City of Beaumont - Government recognizing the second Friday of October as ๐—ฆ๐—ผ๐˜‚๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐˜ ๐—ง๐—ฒ๐˜…๐—ฎ๐˜€ ๐—˜๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐˜† ๐——๐—ฎ๐˜† and celebrating the vital role energy plays in our region's economy and future.

As host of the annual Southeast Texas Energy Day celebration, we are proud to bring together industry leaders, community partners, and academic experts for a conversation about the future of energy in Southeast Texas.

This event also highlights Lamar's innovative ๐——๐—•๐—” ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—˜๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ด๐˜† ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—ด๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜, the first AACSB-accredited doctoral program of its kind focused on energy management, designed to prepare experienced professionals to lead in a rapidly evolving industry.

The College of Business proudly welcomed Distinguished Alumnus Herman T. Wilson Jr. '63 into the College of Business Hall of Fame posthumously.

A dedicated alumnus and steadfast supporter of Lamar University, Herman made a lasting impact on the College of Business through his generosity, leadership, and commitment to creating opportunities for students. His support helped strengthen initiatives that continue to benefit the university community today.

His wife, Bobbie Wilson, accepted the honor on his behalf, celebrating a legacy that will continue to inspire future generations of Cardinals. โค๏ธ
