An associate degree program for neurodiverse students with learning disabilities. Skills for Work. Skills for Life.

In our uniquely supportive program, students learn to identify and develop a career pathway, grow interpersonal skills, build life-long friendships, and gain marketable, workplace-ready skills. OLS creates a guided pathway for graduating students to become gainfully employed, contributing citizens. Since the inception of our program, 85% of our graduates are employed and 30% enjoy upward career mobility. All OLS courses focus on developing critical thinking skills, soft skills, and self-determination skills.

College Bound Resource Fair: Presentation Spotlight

Washington State University ROAR is another long-time partner of College Bound. We are so excited to welcome alumni and parents of the parogram to this year's even to present information about this incredible program.

WSU ROAR is a two-year inclusive postsecondary education program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their program provides an inclusive college experience in a supportive and empowering environment. Students live on campus in Pullman, attend individualized programming, and audit WSU courses alongside same-aged peers, building skills in academics, employment, independent living, and social engagement.

College Bound Resource Fair: Presentation Spotlight

Achieve Highline College has been a long-time partner of College Bound, having attended and presented since the event began. We are so excited to once again welcome them to the event, where they will be presenting information about their program!

Here's a little bit about them:

Achieve is a comprehensive post-secondary transition program that includes credit and non-credit classes, intensive advising, involvement in campus life, work-based learning, and assistance with job placement. All Achieve students work with an intensive advisor and career specialist to draft and implement a comprehensive, individual plan for college and career. Specific courses, campus activities, and work-based learning experiences are determined based on skills and competencies needed for students to achieve their identified goal(s).

Great news: We're hiring!

In addition to the Part-Time Student Success Coach position we shared last week, we have another job opening for a Part-Time Internship Coach!

This position works closely with students and our Workforce Development Program Manager to support OLS students in their internships. Internships take place in the final two quarters before graduation and are tailored to each student and their chosen career pathway.

The Internship Coach provides comprehensive coaching and support throughout the internship experience, adhering to the OLS skills development model.
