ALERT: Starting Monday, Aug 10

Temporary bus stops for Routes 249 and 550 during Bellevue Transit Center construction:

Route 249 to South Kirkland will move to temporary stop 3 on the east side of 110th Avenue NE, south of NE 6th Street.
Route 249 South Bellevue will use bus bay 1.
Route 550 to Seattle will use temporary stop 2 on the west side of 110th Avenue NE, just south of NE 6th Street.

Recycling Refund Study [In-Person]
Thursday July 30th
6:00-8:00 PM Duwamish River Community Hub

The Washington State Department of Ecology is currently conducting a Recycling Refunds Study. They have an in-person community event for King County residents to learn about the Recycling Refund Study and share their thoughts and feedback. They are looking for input from all King County residents on a potential “bottle bill” in Washington and are hosting the event to share information, gather feedback on the program, and show participants how to

Attendees will learn about the Recycling Refund Study, a potential “bottle bill” deposit return system that the Department of Ecology is studying.

Dinner will be provided! Tamales, sides, drinks, desserts.
Spanish interpretation will be available at all sessions.
$50 raffle for VISA gift card for participants.

From July 20–24 at Bellevue College, The Center for Women & Democracy is bringing together a small, high-impact cohort of women and civic leaders to turn passion into action.

This isn’t a lecture series. Over five days, participants will:
· Pinpoint the civic cause that matters most to them
· Build a real, implementable action plan — not a theoretical one
· Walk away with a mentorship network built to outlast the program

This event is open to anyone with limited spots.

Bloomberg Youth Climate Action Grant: Bellevue City was awarded were awarded $50k from Bloomberg Philanthropies to support mini-grants for youth-led climate action projects, for students aged 15-24: Bellevue Youth Climate Action Fund | Engaging Bellevue.
