🇺🇸 Service in Action: Thank You, Buena Vista High School JROTC!

Year after year, the Buena Vista High School Army JROTC program, led by Major Yen Nguyen, continues to show what service to community looks like.

Their support of Bellevue University’s Veteran Backpack Project goes far beyond collecting donations. These cadets also roll up their sleeves and join us in person to sort supplies, pack backpacks, and help prepare them for local Veterans in need.

⭐ We are grateful to have the next generation of leaders serving alongside us.

The mission of Army JROTC is to help motivate young people to become better citizens, and we see that mission come to life through the Buena Vista cadets’ willingness to serve others, work as a team, and give their time to the Veteran community.

Our goal this year is to fill 100 backpacks for Veterans served through the Siena Francis House and New Visions Homeless Services, and partnerships like this are what make that possible.

A huge THANK YOU to Omaha Bowling Ass'n for supporting Bellevue University’s Veteran Backpack Project with a generous donation!

Every contribution helps us move closer to our goal of filling 100 backpacks with essential items for local Veterans served through the Siena Francis House and New Visions Homeless Services.

We are grateful for local community organizations that continue to step up and show Veterans that their community remembers, appreciates, and supports them.

We are accepting donations through November 5, and every item or monetary contribution helps us fill another backpack.

The MVSC team is incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to join us year after year in supporting the Veteran Backpack Project. Your generosity and willingness to share the information, donate items, or volunteer your time are what make this local effort possible.

We are kicking off our 20206 Veteran Backpack Project with a goal of filling 100 backpacks (head over to Amazon and check out the new tactical backpacks we will be using this year) for veterans served by the Siena Francis House and New Visions. We would love your help with sharing this information in your communities again.

Battle of the Branches: 👉Comment Your Branch 👈 and represent your service! Let's see who has the strongest presence in our Bellevue University Military Veteran Services Center community?

Bellevue is home to a diverse military and veteran community. Active duty, Guard, Reserve, veterans, and military families from every branch come together to learn, connect, and support one another. That diversity is what makes our community strong.
