The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures will be holding its second annual Departmental Fair on Wednesday, March 11, from 4-5 p.m. in the Viking Union Multipurpose Room.

The fair will showcase the department’s programs, which include Arabic, Chinese, Classical Studies, Eurasian Studies, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Latin, Latin American Studies, Russian, Spanish, and the Employee Language Program administered through Outreach & Continuing Education. There will be activities, food, music, and prizes.

Through its many programs of study, the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures fosters competencies that allow students to connect with people, cultures, and countries of the past and present. These competencies open up many opportunities for students during their time at Western and after graduation to study abroad, pursue advanced study, and to conduct research and service locally and across the globe. Many LLC students enhance their employment prospects by combining an LLC major or minor with another field of study.

All Western students are invited to attend the fair to learn about LLC programs and join in the festivities. No RSVP is required.
