One of our Graduate Program Alumni, Jennifer Hahn, has published a new book on foraging here in the Pacific Northwest! Her book, PACIFIC HARVEST: A Northwest Coast Foraging Guide is available online to order for those interested.

Her Master's Thesis is also available through WWU Library.

In January of 2025, urban wildfires in Los Angeles County burned more than 50,000 acres, killed at least 31 people, displaced more than 200,000 residents and destroyed more than 16,000 buildings — with property and capital losses estimated at $131 billion.
