The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is a rigorous, integrated graduate business program designed to prepare students for responsible leadership positions in private, public, and not-for-profit organizations, as well as in entrepreneurial ventures. The Western MBA curriculum provides a balance of theory and application essential for managerial excellence. The program is intended for

the active manager and technical supervisor as well as those looking for new opportunities at the mid-management level. Did you know that if each of our alums donated $20 on WWU Give Day that we would have enough money to send 10 of our students to a special public policy program in DC this coming fall?

It only takes 3 minutes to make a donation, and even the smallest contribution helps support learning outside of the classroom for our MBAs.

Thanks for thinking of our students and contributing to WWU's special day of giving:

$250,000 match to the Western Welcome Scholarship!

Alright MBA Alum and supporters, you know what day it is! That's right! It's our annual Give Day where we raise money to support educational and professional development opportunities for our students.

This year, the MBA program is focusing our Give Day efforts to sponsor our students on a trip to DC for the Washington Campus program. This week long program provides our MBAs with an opportunity to learn how business and politics intersect, along with building their professional network.

Here's what our current MBA student, Eliana Potts, had to say about her Washington Campus experience last December (pictured below): "The Washington Campus program supplemented my MBA experience because I was able to learn about the linkages between government and business, and how it affects individual consumers. I also had some amazing networking opportunities and connections that have already benefited me and will become useful in my future. As a prospective business owner, I feel more prepared to leverage my strengths in a regulatory environment."

To contribute to our cause, please click on the following link, read the post from our Director, Mark Staton, PhD, and click on the green "Give Day" button to donate: https://lnkd.in/gkePvMmK. Our goal is to reach $18k which will sponsor 6 of our students for this year's trip.

We greatly appreciate the support you give to our students, Western Washington University, WWU College of Business & Economics, and our community.

This past Saturday, our MBA students attended the 6th Annual PNW MBA Conference, titled, "Lead with Impact", hosted by UWB MBAA. Our day was filled with insightful information on how to be effective and compassionate leaders in the future and we got to network with recruiters and talent agents from key industries from around the PNW.

The final segment of the day featured Erik Arnold the Global CTO for Microsoft's Tech for Social Impact division and Amit Kaistha, Vice President and Global Head for the Microsoft Cloud Business Unit, who shared how business, including non-profits, are impacted by new AI technologies. Mr. Kaistha explained that the technology is already here and increasing at a rapid pace so it's up to us to figure out how we want to use it.
