Beginning Monday, July 13, the commuter parking lot located west of the Davidson Building and Heard Hall (outlined in red) will be closed as preparations begin for the construction of our new science lab building. If you have a vehicle currently in this parking lot, please relocate it before Monday.

Alternative commuter parking is available in the College Street and Paul and Jane Meyer Christian Studies Center parking lots (outlined in green).

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to improve our campus for the future.

🚧 We're upgrading our work order system! 🚧

7/14, 10 AM Update: We're still working through the transition! In the meantime, the old work order system is still up and available if you need to submit a request.

Beginning late Friday afternoon, SchoolDude will be unavailable while we transition to our new work order system. We expect the new system to be fully operational by the end of the day Monday.

If you have an urgent maintenance request during the transition, please call the Physical Plant front office at 254-295-4586 during business hours or follow the after-hours/on-call procedures.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this upgrade and continue improving service for the UMHB community!

🦒 Gracie, the TX escapee giraffe, has been found! But she apparently made a quick stop at the UMHB pond. We can't blame her, it's hot out there.

Fun fact: The pond is over 10 feet deep in the middle... that's roughly 1 Gracie deep. *The pictures below are fake... but the fun fact is 100% true! 😉

**As of 6/30, the road has reopened**
On Monday, June 29, the Physical Plant road will be closed to vehicle traffic for asphalt repairs. Please use Main Street as an alternate route.

Something exciting is taking shape at McLane College of Business!

Our new Finance Trading Lab is currently under construction and will soon provide students with hands-on experience in portfolio management, market analysis, and simulated trading in a high-tech learning environment.

Designed to bridge the gap between classroom concepts and real-world financial decision-making, this space will help prepare students for careers in finance, investments, banking, and beyond.
