She is working on a piano pedagogy project for her master's degree and is diving into the obscure piano music of the 18th and 19th centuries in our Frederick Freedman collection. An amazing Bach Festival. Special kudos to Abigail G. Guinigundo, our RBI Gott Scholar this year, who did a fabulous job with the RBI's rare 1568 partbooks. It was truly magical to hear Abby's transcriptions come to life with Ampersand.

He will be helping us understand the music of Arvo Pärt on Saturday, April 18, at 12:15 pm in the Lindsay Crossman Chapel. This will flow right into some organ preluding by our students, followed by an amazing concert of works by Pärt and others at 2pm in the same location. The Cleveland Thyagaraja Festival is the largest Indian classical music festival outside of India. It was first celebrated in 1978 and has now grown to be a 12-day festival with more than 10,000 attendees with 5,000 appearing for the opening weekend. The year 2026 is the Festival's 49th year.
