It was an absolute delight to welcome The American Bach Society to Baldwin Wallace University and Baldwin Wallace Conservatory this past weekend. The papers, roundtables, concerts, and masterclasses were truly invigorating. A member of the Riemenschneider family commented to me that now he understands the "meta" view of why the Bach Festival, the BACH Journal, and the Riemenschneider Bach Institute are so important. I can't thank my colleagues across campus enough for their Herculean efforts in pulling all this off.
