OURS: Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarships - UC Berkeley OURS is charged with integrating undergraduates more fully into the vibrant research life at Cal.

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarships works to increase undergraduate and faculty collaboration in research, to support greater participation in research by faculty and students, to promote existing research activities and programs on campus, and to develop resources and funding necessary to expand undergraduate research opportunities, thus enhancing student learning and satisfacti

on. OURS directly administers the Undergraduate Research Apprentice Program, the Haas Scholars Program, the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF L&S and SURF-Rose Hills), and the Judith Lee Stronach Baccalaureate Prize. It also houses two major campus journals that publish undergraduate research: Berkeley Undergraduate Journal, for research in the humanities and social sciences, and Berkeley Scientific, for research in the sciences. In addition, the center supports students who are applying to nationally prestigious scholarships and maintains the Scholarship Connection website.
