Meet Macy, a sophomore psychology major who found her way to SNU after growing up all over the world with missionary parents.

After hearing her parents share stories about their time at SNU and experiencing events like Extravaganza and Becoming, Macy knew she wanted a place where she could put down roots and build meaningful connections.

On campus, she serves on the Student Activities and Leadership Team (SALT), where she helps lead the Sports and Recreation team, competes in intramural sports, and has enjoyed serving through SNU In Missions.

Through those experiences and the friendships she’s built, Macy continues to grow in her faith and prepare for whatever God has next.

“I think going to Chapel and being in community with other Christians helps me stay strong in my faith. God created us to be in relationship with one another, and He shows me this every day through the friendships I’ve made.”

We’re so glad you’re here, Macy! Praying for you as you step into God’s calling 💗

It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of our SNU football player, Tyler Ulrich.

This loss is deeply felt across our campus. Our hearts are with his family, friends, teammates, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We ask that you join us in lifting them up in prayer during this incredibly difficult time.

We want to remind students, faculty, and staff that support is available through the Renew Counseling Center and our Campus Pastors. As we hold one another close during this time, we encourage anyone who needs support to reach out.

🎉 Big news for SNU!

Southern Nazarene University’s Physician Assistant Studies program has been granted Accreditation-Provisional status by ARC-PA, with zero areas of noncompliance!

This is a significant milestone for SNU and the result of dedicated work from university leadership, faculty, staff, our Board of Trustees, clinical professionals, and community partners.

Our first PA cohort begins January 4, 2027. We can't wait to see what’s ahead! ⚡

Our Hispanic Latino Student Society and SNU College of Professional and Graduate Studies staff hit the parade route at Fiestas de las Americas during Hispanic Heritage Month.

Fiestas de las Americas is Oklahoma City’s largest Latino festival, bringing the community together in Historic Capitol Hill for a day of music, art, food, family-friendly activities, and more.

We loved seeing our students celebrate with the community! ⚡️

Say hello to Laura Quevedo! 👋

Laura came to SNU from Colombia on a golf scholarship and discovered a new passion for graphic design along the way. When her time on campus shifted away from golf, she began navigating a new chapter and figuring out what came next.

She credits SNU leaders like Mike Redwine, Melany Kyzer, and Jim Smith for encouraging her, giving her opportunities to lead, and helping her find a way forward.

With their support and a growing passion for creativity, Laura found a new direction. After graduating, she earned a master’s degree in marketing and built a career in photography, design, and marketing.

Today, Laura works with major brands in Australia, creates art in her free time, and has even picked golf back up. ⛳️

“Life can be crazy. Mine has brought a lot of changes, but SNU made me the woman I am today.”

Laura, we love seeing where life has taken you and can’t wait to see what God has in store for you next! 💛
