This morning, we were excited to welcome Dr. Renato M. Lajara to Donegan, where three of our student leaders showed him what makes Donegan 🌟

Our student leaders walked us through how they track academic growth using their leadership notebooks, how mindfulness practices (thanks to our friends at Shanthi Project) help them be regulated and ready to learn, and how the family center provides on-site support for their physical and behavioral health.

We’re beyond proud of the transformational work taking place at Donegan and having the opportunity to share our stories and strategies with others. Here’s to another year of teamwork and growth! 📚🌱

Student Life Leadership Awards: Nadxieli Jimenez Bielma 💙

Our CSOer Nadxieli Jimenez Bielma recently received the Contribution to Student Life Award at Lehigh University’s Student Life Leadership Awards. This award recognizes underclass students who have significantly improved the quality of campus life through their involvement and academic initiatives.

Nadxieli is an active citizen of both Lehigh University and South Bethlehem communities. Through her work at the CSO and in other organizations on campus, Nadxieli brings a creative perspective to belonging, inclusion, and service.

We are so proud of Nadxieli and all of her contributions to the community. 💙💚🧡

On May 1, 2026, the Community Service Office hosted our inaugural South Side Block Party in collaboration with Broughal Middle, Donegan Elementary, and Fountain Hill Elementary schools.

The Block Party aimed to connect families with multiple resources to continue student learning and engagement during the summer break. Thank you to all of our partners who participated in this event! 💙🧡💚

Student Life Leadership Awards: Sophie Pollio 💙

Our CSOer Sophie Pollio recently received the Service Above Self Award at Lehigh University’s Student Life Leadership Awards. This award honors students that exemplify care, concern, and advocacy for others through purposeful and selfless community service.

Sophie constantly connects her education at Lehigh’s College of Health with her work in the CSO. A trusted and dedicated community member, she advocates fiercely for others, shows up consistently, and brings her community experiences back into the classroom in meaningful ways.

We are so proud of Sophie, and are so grateful to have such an inspiring individual on our team. 💙💚🧡
