During the College of Health orientation, our newest students got to know their classmates with a little friendly bingo competition, wrote letters to their future selves, learned more about the college and spent time with their faculty mentors.

We loved welcoming our newest COH students and can't wait to see what the next four years bring!

While many students spent the summer gaining experience, these College of Health students spent theirs helping tackle some of healthcare's biggest challenges.

At the Summer Research Expo, Jack Monti, Cheyenne Desmond, and Angela Stevens shared projects focused on making wearable health technology more accurate across different skin tones, understanding why lupus is often goes undiagnosed or is diagnosed too late, and improving treatment for traumatic brain injury.

These experiences reflect the hands-on learning opportunities that define a College of Health education, where students work alongside faculty mentors to ask meaningful questions and pursue research that has the potential to improve lives.

Congratulations to Jack, Cheyenne, and Angela on an incredible summer of discovery. We can't wait to see where their research leads next!

Transitioning to college is hard, but what happens when you're navigating it with undiagnosed neurodivergence? Host Rooster Demotte sits down with sophomore mechanical engineering student Osmar to discuss his journey with autism and ADHD at Lehigh. Osmar opens up about the struggles of his first year, taking a leave of absence to protect his mental health, and how receiving an official diagnosis and vital DSS accommodations (like extended testing time and a single room) completely saved his college career.

Jessica Lee, a rising junior in Lehigh University's College of Health, spent her summer putting classroom learning into practice through the Lehigh Valley Health Network Summer Scholar Program.

She recently presented her project exploring ways to improve triage efficiency and patient outcomes in emergency department operations, a great example of how College of Health students are tackling real-world healthcare challenges through hands-on research and partnerships.

Congratulations, Jessica, on an outstanding summer and presentation!
