We wrapped up an incredible evening at the 2026 Donald M. Gruhn ’49 Distinguished Finance Speaker Series this week, where we had the privilege of hosting Brita Turner '04, Global Head of M&A Integration at eBay.

In a captivating conversation moderated by Prof. Burak Eskici, Brita walked us through her career leading across industry powerhouses like IBM, Amazon, and eBay. Reflecting on her journey, she emphasized a powerful message that resonated deeply across the room: while AI can streamline systems and automate routine tasks, it can never replace the human edge—our empathy, critical thinking, and capacity for genuine connection.
