HANDS ON at City College

HANDS ON at City College HANDS ON is a class project showcasing involvement in career and technology education (CTE) and the “hands-on” work we do at City College

The purpose of this class project is to engage technical communication students in campus-wide, semester-long activities that will help them discover alternative ways of documenting CTE work and workplaces. This technical communication class covers issues in technical communication such as documentation, ethics, privacy and copyrights. Students engage in research and data gathering by photographing classroom/shop/lab work, equipment or processes. They develop ways of documenting and presenting their findings using written text, spoken word, videos and photographs. The project is conducted in conjunction with course requirements for WRIT 121 - Introduction to Technical Writing.
