Our mission is to provide opportunities and experiences that support student learning and personal development, as well as to help students with issues affecting their academic and personal life at Binghamton University. Committed to the personal and intellectual growth and development of all Binghamton University students, the Office of the Dean of Students provides support for a variety of stude

nt concerns including illness, death in the family, financial difficulties, academic trouble and other personal emergencies. The dean and her staff help students take full advantage of the countless resources Binghamton University has to offer, as well as serve as the primary campus resource for students’ parents, guardians and families. The Dean's Team, a 2-credit CDCI internship, is a valuable opportunity for Binghamton University students of all class years to grow as leaders, students, future professionals, and individuals.

Binghamton University celebrated and recognized some of the outstanding students who contribute to Binghamton’s vibrant culture during the annual Binghamton University Student Awards Gala on May 6 at the Holiday Inn Downtown Binghamton. From student organizations to community engagement to on-campus jobs, students continually go above and beyond to get involved on and off campus, take on leadership roles, and make Binghamton a welcoming community.

Join us this Friday, March 20th, at 1 PM for the Stomping of the Coat! 🧥💚

Stomping of the Coat is a symbolic, high‑energy program designed to mark the end of winter - or at least our collective wish for it to be over. This is a renewed tradition at Binghamton University where participants physically and playfully “stomp” winter coats to release pent‑up winter frustration and welcome the return of warmer days, longer light, and renewed campus energy. The event blends tradition‑building, stress relief, and community engagement into a short, memorable experience. Bring your own coat to stomp!!

This will also be the re-launch of Green Day Friday, where Baxter will be present, and Spirit Ambassadors will be giving out Green Day Friday gear.
