Today, we stand in celebration, reflection, and deep pride as we honor the birth of Uzuri Weusi Malkia Sorority, Incorporated, founded on this day, May 11, 1999.

For 26 years, we have walked in purpose. We have served with intention. We have uplifted, empowered, and stood boldly in the beauty of our heritage, the strength of our unity, and the brilliance of Black womanhood. What began as a vision has grown into a legacy—rooted in sisterhood, guided by excellence, and blossoming with passion.

Through the seasons, through the trials, through triumph after triumph, we’re still here—still growing, still rising, still reaching back and reaching forward. Each year, we grow stronger in our commitment to community, culture, and connection. We are more than an organization—we are a movement of empowered women who know where we’ve come from, who we are, and where we’re going.

To every Queen who has worn our letters, who has poured into our mission, and who continues to represent Uzuri Weusi Malkia with honor—you are the reason we thrive. You are the legacy. You are the living embodiment of our founding dreams.

From the radiant hearts of Uzuri Weusi Malkia Sorority, Inc., we extend the warmest and most heartfelt wishes to all the incredible mothers who embody strength, grace, and unwavering love.

To the mothers within our sisterhood—you are the quiet storm, the guiding light, and the nurturing soul of our community. Your wisdom, your compassion, and your resilience inspire us daily. You are not just members; you are our pillars. You remind us of the power of womanhood, of unity, and of nurturing leadership. Your presence strengthens our bond and deepens our purpose.

To the mothers who support our mission, whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply standing beside us in spirit—we see you, we honor you, and we thank you. Your encouragement breathes life into our vision. You are part of the fabric that holds us together, even if your name is not always spoken, your love echoes in everything we do.
