Molly Herrington’s time at the University of Mary gave her more than a degree—it gave her the confidence to say yes to opportunities, step out in faith, and pursue possibilities before the path was clear. 💙

As a student, Molly immersed herself in the Mary experience, majoring in business administration, accounting, and finance while participating in the Harold Schafer Emerging Leaders Academy, Semester at Sea, and other opportunities that took her far beyond the classroom. After graduating in 2009, she went on to build a diverse career in business development and government relations before returning to Mary to earn her MBA.

Today, Molly serves as chief people officer for the State of North Dakota, where she leads HR strategy and organizational development—helping people and organizations reach their full potential.

From the opportunities she pursued as a student to the people she now leads and develops, Molly embodies the Mary tradition of pioneering courage, lifelong learning, and service to others.

👓 Meet Eve Kostelecky-Albrecht!

Eve came to Mary with a dream of becoming an optometrist—and a volleyball scholarship that helped make that dream possible. But she discovered that Mary would give her much more than an education: its close-knit community and Benedictine values would shape the way she lives and serves others.

Today, Eve is the owner of Every Eye in Mandan, where she puts her faith into action by providing vision care to children in need and traveling to Nigeria, where she helped provide screenings and eyewear to more than 300 patients. 🌎❤️

Eve credits God’s providence, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the support of family and friends for helping her see that true success is found in loving your neighbor and serving the greater good.

We are proud to celebrate Eve as a 2026 Harold Schafer Alumni Award recipient! 🎉💙

For more than 30 years, Doug has called Bismarck and NISC home, rising to President and CEO while staying grounded in the values he learned at the University of Mary. A proud double major, lifelong learner, and Mary graduate at both the undergraduate and master’s levels, Doug believes success comes from living your personal and professional values consistently and caring for the people around you.

Doug and his wife, Amy, have been married for 30 years, and the Mary tradition continues through their two adult daughters and son-in-law, all Mary alumni. 💙

Congratulations, Doug, on this well-deserved honor! 👏

🏈 From Marauder football to pediatric dentistry, Adam Woroniecki ’15 continues to make an impact.

A team captain, All-NSIC running back, and Scholar-Athlete of the Year at Mary, Adam carried the values he developed on campus to the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and now serves children as a pediatric dentist in Mandan. In 2023, Adam and his wife, Alli, gave back by establishing Mary’s first-ever endowed football scholarship.
