Three pinups in one day!
๐ŸŒ„We had our first year studio pinup work they did on campus, designing the space between two academic buildings. The worked with the geology department to represent the geographic signatures of Virginia in a small space.
โ› Our third-year and master students in the Landscape Representation class pinup work related to the underground. There was a range of problems tackled and solutions displayed through maps, sections, diagrams, collages, and models.
๐Ÿ  Lastly, our second year students pinned up work dealing with neighborhood design here in Blacksburg!
Everyone did such a great job, what a way to close out the semester!

Happy World Landscape Architecture Month!๐ŸŒฟ This years theme is Landscape Architecture in Action. Our students recently took a 3 day trip to Atlanta, GA and Greenville, SC to learn about places that support health by getting people outside.
๊ฉœ On day one, they toured Unity Park with MKSK. Thank you to for the insight on this well-used public space.
๊ฉœ Day two brought a visit to , where students heard from lead architect and planner Dr. Phillip Tabb.
๊ฉœ On the final day, they toured the Kendeda Living Building and the EcoCommons at Georgia Tech, designed by . This field trip taught the students so much about creating places that support everyday life through social and ecological resilience!
