Kappa Alpha Theta Virginia Tech

Kappa Alpha Theta Virginia Tech Welcome to Kappa Alpha Theta at Virginia Tech's official page! Instagram: They were leading the way for women in higher education.

Nearly 150 years ago, Kappa Alpha Theta was founded as the first Greek-letter fraternity for women. Our founders recognized dedication, intelligence, and commitment in one another, and they also understood the potential of the college women who would follow in their footsteps. In the decades since then, Theta has continued to be recognized as a leading women’s group. Our ideas and programs have of

ten been on the cutting edge—as individual and as chapters, we are known for leading in our communities and on our campuses. We understand that leadership is not an office held or a title conferred. We know that every Theta has the capacity to create positive change in herself, in her chapter, in her Fraternity … in fact, in the world. Being a Theta leads women into a life of friends, experiences, and goals that she might not have had otherwise. Being a Theta leads a woman to personal excellence, offering her ways to become her best self. We are Kappa Alpha Theta. We are leading women.

shares what Theta means to her 🤍

“Being a Theta to me means challenging myself to be a better person each day. I really feel like my sisters support my goals and even take the time to check in on how I’m doing which really does mean a lot to me. I also valued my experience as our first Vice President Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion. This opportunity to serve my chapter helped me grow in ways that I really needed to and my experience in Theta would not be the same without holding a position. To Epsilon Nu, thank you for the chance to be a leader, make friends, and be my authentic self.”
